Our Curriculum
At The Little Nest, our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to provide a rich, balanced early learning experience that nurtures the whole child.
We blend two internationally respected approaches:
• The Reggio Emilia philosophy, which encourages exploration, creativity, and child-led learning through meaningful experiences in a carefully prepared environment.
• The Early Years British Curriculum, which offers structured guidance in key developmental areas such as communication, literacy, numeracy, personal and social development, and physical growth.
Together, these frameworks create a dynamic and responsive program that supports each child’s unique learning journey. Our curriculum is brought to life within a Tanzanian context—celebrating African heritage, language, and values, while also introducing global ideas and perspectives.

We Focus on the Following Key areas of Develeopment
• Communication and Language
• Personal, Social, and Emotional Development
• Physical Development

• Expressive Arts and Design
Our curriculum reflects the cultural richness of Tanzania while also embracing global perspectives. Children are exposed to local stories, music, language, and traditions, helping them build a strong sense of identity and belonging. At the same time, they are encouraged to be open-minded, compassionate, and respectful of the wider world.
Learning at The Little Nest is play-based, inquiry-driven, and project-oriented. Through this, we aim to nurture independent thinkers, problem solvers, and lifelong learners
